About The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our IT team on a full‐time, permanent basis. Reporting to the Manager, Business Solutions, the successful candidate will bring a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within the financial services industry. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting, maintaining, and implementing business applications, including banking and payment systems. You will contribute to the continuous improvement of our business processes, ensuring alignment between technology solutions and business objectives in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilies
  • Lead the implementation of business projects from initiation to closure.

  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and design workshops with key stakeholders.

  • Translate business needs into detailed user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.

  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners to prioritize backlogs and plan release cycles.

  • Document both current‐state and future‐state business processes.

  • Support change management initiatives and assist in developing training materials where needed.

  • Create functional specifications and user stories that are clear, complete, and technically feasible.

  • Mentor and provide guidance to other team members.

  • Participate in testing and QA to ensure solutions meet business requirements and are fit for purpose.

  • Identify and evaluate opportunities to improve business processes through technology and process change.

  • Consolidate and present findings in a clear, cohesive manner to support executive and management‐level decision making.


Qualifications Required
About You
  • An analytical thinker with a strong understanding of business needs and objectives, who can utilize systems to meet business goals.

  • An effective communicator, capable of working across departments with stakeholders holding competing priorities.

  • Strong understanding of implementing business applications and driving change initiatives

  • Experience using core banking systems (preferably Fiserv DNA) and digital banking systems.

  • Experience in data analytics, reporting, and SQL query

  • Demonstrated leadership and mentorship capabilities.

  • Demonstrated project coordination/management experience.

  • Ability to work effectively in complex, cross functional project teams.

What we’re looking for:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information systems, or equivalent education and experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 5 years in the financial industry

  • Experience working with multiple regulatory frameworks.

  • Ability to prepare detailed specifications, use cases, user stories, workflows, and other supporting documentation for the development of modifications and enhancements.

  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft applications

  • IIBA certification (CBAP, CCBA) is an asset.

  • Knowledge of the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK) is considered an asset.

  • CAPM or PMP is considered an asset.

  • Acceptable criminal record and credit checks


Job Location

This is a permanent full-time position at our Head Office in Saskatoon, SK but can be hybrid or remote.
