Community and Culture

With eight full service branches, four in First Nations communities, and three community banking centres, all in First Nation communities, we have a clear and in-depth understanding of the traditional cultures and importance of language of First Nations, Metis and Inuit people.

We believe in strengthening the lives and giving back to our communities. We support employees in their volunteer and community support efforts. While most volunteer commitments take place after regular work hours, some may require time off during the workday.  Paid time off may be granted if the request meets the eligibility/criteria.

The Bank will provide monetary support to a non-profit Aboriginal event or organization where a Bank employee is directly involved as a Board/Committee member or volunteer. We also look to match the donation of employees to charities or organizations they support based on a policy maximum.

Training and Development

Through personal development plans and on the job training our staff gain ongoing knowledge, skills and ability to support advancing towards their personal and professional career aspirations.

    Professional Development

      FNBC provides a range of career and training opportunities for employees. These opportunities begin right from the start with our onboarding program and are inclusive of systems training, coaching and mentorship, job specific on the job training, cross training opportunities and job related educational support.

        Annual Reviews

          Performance Assessments are conducted on a semi-annual and annual basis and allows you to be directly involved in your own goal setting, measuring your successes and evaluating all the great work you have completed.
